The Governor's
Executive Order (HTM,
text) calls upon
specific state agencies to identify and prioritize existing barriers to
community living for Iowans with disabilities, ensure that their resources are utilized in the most efficient and effective manner to
support the ADA; and identify and utilize federal funding to support of Olmstead-related activities in Iowa.
Each agency has a designated staff member to work with the task force to accomplish these goals.
Agencies have been called upon to provide the governor with
self-assessments, preliminary
plans and timelines, and strategic action plans:
