State Agency Updates and Strategic Plans
January 2005

In early 2003, Iowa's Governor Vilsack issued Executive Order 27, calling upon Iowa to "…move purposefully to swiftly implement the Olmstead decision.” He designated 20 state agencies to coordinate a comprehensive effort to "reshape the structure and nature of community-based services." Below are their strategic action plans and updates.
